Menu of Thrones | Recipes from The Third Toast

In honor of the second season finale of Game Of Thrones, my friend Leeta (The Third Toast) and I, collaborated to create a menu for a proper ‘Thrones” dinner party. As my clever counterpart wrote,

We set up a table outside and served when night fell. The food was delicious. We served Three Knights wine. We ate like Queens and Kings.”

Please subscribe to The Third Toast as Leeta’s original recipes will soon be posted. My templates for the themed menu, as well as food tent cards have been uploaded to my Scribd feed.

…and If you are reading this post and have no idea what Game of Thrones is, you must acquire HBO and watch it. YOU MUST.

We set up our table outside with my tall hedge as the backdrop. The tablecloth was a burlap curtain panel. I hit a few resale shops, as well as my garden shed, to collect anything rustic or ornate. Rocks, twigs, metal, wood…whatever reminded us of Winterfell.

Shots of Ice and Fire

Tyrion’s Sweet & Sour Jumbo Shrimp

The Iron Crown Roast

John Snow Peas (w. Bacon and Parmesan)

Ned Heads of Herb-Rolled Cheese

Blackened Artichoke Hearts of Cersei

(Petyr) Littlefingers w. Spicy Chocolate Ganache (So Ladyfingers were more difficult to make than I originally anticipated. Next time, they will have a more proper shape – promise.)
