You might say that this magnificent 1st Birthday party, from the summer of 2016, took a village to make happen…
For real: a Crepes Stand, a fresh frites station, an Eiffel Tower photo booth, a Mini-Monets Art Tent, a trackless train, a bounce house, a face painter and balloon twister made this party the most magical Paper and Pastiche party yet!
Enjoy the photos taken by Christina Marie Photography and Au Revoir!
Invitations, program, decor and signage were designed by Patty Fanella of PAPERandPASTICHE
The Mini-Monets Art Tent was managed by Bottle and Bottega of La Grange, Illinois.
The Crepes Tent was managed by Gotta B Crepes of Evanston, Illinois. They were fantastic! The Frites Station was managed by PAPERandPASTICHE staff. The rest of the catering was provided by a combination of the Willowbrook Whole Foods and the Wheaton Mariano’s.
Face Painter, Margi, and Balloon Twister, Michelle, made a great team! They are both very difficult to book so I recommend contacting them as early as possible.
Eiffel Tower Family Photo Booth. Props were designed by PAPERandPASTICHE.

For the new year, I had the pleasure of styling and coordinating a Winter Wonderland party for little Giulia’s first birthday. Her parents had some wonderful ideas which included an artificial snow pit and a s’mores bar, and together, we decided that an evening filled with winter activities (indoors, of course) was the way to go. Being that we live in Chicago and we have been pummeled with snow this winter, that didn’t stop every guest, young and old, from enjoying the festively frosty itinerary we had planned for them. The sugar cookie decorating, bounce house, giant double slide, hilarious balloon artist, magical sweets table, s’mores, hot chocolate and a snow-pit made this the prettiest, most charming party ever for this sweet little girl’s big day.
With help from her big sister, Amira, Giulia blew out the candle on her first birthday cake. The cake was made by Alicia from Delish Cakes in Bloomingdale but the banner was designed and created by Pastiche Events.
